Hand made functional art, saving wood one log at a time. I make unique woodturnings consisting of pepper mills, salt shakers, bowls, Christmas ornaments, cutting boards and keepsake boxes. They make great wedding, anniversary, and birthday gifts that can be treasured for years. I use a variety of woods including locally sourced maple, walnut, ash, & oak from sustainably harvested trees. No two pieces are alike because of the nuances of the wood and being hand made. The pepper mills feature the CrushGrind ceramic mechanism, which has full coarseness adjustment, 25-year warranty, and can grind salt and other spices.
I am a member of the American Association of Woodturners (woodturner.org) & Buckeye Woodworkers and Wood Turners (bwwt.org), which is our local turning group in Northeast Ohio.
Featured woodturner at the August 2017, Woodturners Annual Exhibition, at the Wayne Center for the Arts, Wooster, OH (wayneartscenter.org). I demonstrate annually for the Buckeye Woodworkers & Wood Turners (BWWT.US) local woodturning club in Green, OH and volunteer orchestrate the summer woodturning sessions for the kids at Camp Y’Noah, Green, OH each summer as part of the club’s outreach to youth in turning.
My favorite turning woods are the ambrosia maple & curly maple due to the natural color variations in the wood caused by the ambrosia beetle and the holographic affect of light reflecting on the finished curly maple.
